Four decades of shared passion for cutting boards, high quality timber sourcing, and hand-rubbed organic finishes.
Our journey started over 40 years ago. What began as a shared passion for lathe-turning wooden bowls grew into Sculpture Flame, a dedicated homestead shop in Myrtle, MS where Wayne & Phyllis share every aspect of the craftβfrom lathe turning and shaping high quality raw timber to hand-finishing each piece with organic beeswax and mineral oil.
We take immense pride in working together to ensure our hand-turned bowls, cutting boards, and charcuterie trays become central pieces in family kitchens, holiday gatherings, and daily meal preparation.
We select high quality oak, red cedar, walnut, cherry, and maple lumber, giving premium hardwood a second life as heirloom kitchenware.
Cutting boards and bowls are carefully turned on the lathe to sculpt their contours and reveal the timber's authentic grain and growth rings.
After being turned on the lathe, our cutting boards are specifically kiln dried to stabilize the wood, lock in shape, and maximize heirloom durability.
Each piece is hand-sanded up to 320-grit smooth and finished with multiple coats of our homemade organic beeswax board butter.
