The Story of Sculpture Flame

Based in Myrtle, Mississippi, Wayne & Phyllis have spent years operating Sculpture Flame. They share the passion of lathe turning and finishing each creation together, shaping high quality oak, red cedar, walnut, cherry, and maple into heirloom kitchenware.

"We don't mass produce anything. Every piece of wood tells its own story of weather, rain, and growth rings. We just help bring out its inner flame."

How to Care for Your Woodenware

Handmade wooden items will last generations when properly cared for. Follow Wayne & Phyllis’s simple care tips.

🧼

1. Wash & Dry Promptly

Hand wash with warm water and mild dish soap. Never submerge in water or place in an automatic dishwasher.

πŸ’¨

2. Air Dry Vertically

Stand your board or turned bowl vertically so air circulates around all sides evenly, preventing warping.

🐝

3. Oil & Butter Monthly

Apply food-grade mineral oil or homemade Board Butter once a month to keep the wood fibers hydrated and vibrant.
